Cheers to 2024 and Looking Ahead to 2025
Hope Your Holidays Were Bright!
As 2024 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on a year of discovery and transformation—a new chapter shaped by loss, resilience, and creative exploration. My astronaut paintings have become a way to process and share this story, helping me navigate who I am now and who I want to be going forward. Standing alone in the wake of loss, especially that of Ziggy, I’ve searched for meaning and identity. These paintings have helped me ask important questions and create a narrative I’m excited to continue exploring.
To my friends, family, and collectors: your kindness and encouragement have created a space where I feel supported and able to grow. I can’t express how much your belief in me means. Thank you for being part of this journey.
Looking Ahead to 2025
I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be selling prints of original works for the first time! With encouragement from a few artist friends, I’m preparing a selection of pieces, including some of my beloved horse paintings and works from my personal collection. This new avenue will make my art more accessible to those who wish to collect it.
In the studio, you can expect more astronauts and space-themed paintings in 2025—perhaps even a few catsronauts inspired by Squash Kimchi Kitty.
For now, here's a little painting to make you smile.
Thank you for being here, for following my journey, and for supporting my art. Painting brings me joy, and sharing it with you makes it even more meaningful.
With gratitude,
Shelli
